A WhatsApp-integrated CRM is not a chat widget bolted onto a dashboard. It is a CRM whose lead, deal, ticket, and order records are wired directly into the WhatsApp Business API, so every message a customer sends or receives is stitched to the right contact, the right owner, and the right stage. Technical architecture — how the WhatsApp API stitches into the CRM
Under the hood, the CRM talks to WhatsApp through the Cloud API (hosted by Meta) or the On-Premises API (hosted by a BSP or self-hosted). We default to the Cloud API for most builds — it removes the docker-compose maintenance burden, keeps the phone number provisioning inside Meta Business Manager, and supports every message type you need day one. The message log is append-only for audit and compliance, and every send is stamped with template ID, campaign ID, agent ID, and delivery status.
