Why a manufacturing CRM has to think differently from a sales CRM
Most CRM software is built for a company that sells software. It assumes an inside sales team, a clean lead-to-deal funnel, a 30-day close, and a product you can demo on Zoom. How the sample-to-order workflow actually runs in the CRM
Sample tracking is where every off-the-shelf CRM breaks. A single OEM enquiry can generate three drawing revisions, two sample rounds, and a PPAP submission before the first purchase order lands. The team has to remember which revision the buyer approved, which sample the QA lab rejected, which cost sheet corresponds to which revision, and whether the last sample was dispatched under a paid or free-of-cost challan.
